There are simple things in life, and there are more complicated ones... For instance - a 2 year old. That's simple. They cry when they're sad and smile when they're happy. For more complicated - How do you get your watch to be on the same exact time as the radio? I've been trying... Anyway, I'll have to do that again in America and back... So if your wondering about the Countdown - it means that you don't know me enough (I'm only joking)! You guessed right - it's my BM (explanation in the bottom)! So here's what's new:
1. Did you know that you should take 6,000 steps to maintain your weight, and 10,000 steps to loose weight? The force of the internet informed me that... It's just that I found that I have a pedometer on my Ipod, and kept me wondering... So we made a deal, that if I take 60,000 steps in a week (Sunday through Friday), then I will get a book. So we tried it one day, and I did only 6,418 steps, and that was including the running that morning. So my mom said that we'll cut it down to 32,000 steps...
2. Grandma Judy and Grandpa Saul are coming from Turkey tomorrow!! YAY!
3. I regret to inform you, that according to law, the Schools must teach their students according to their books and information, but I might add, that my school staff must spend 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 in PRISON (or until they die, if that comes first)!!!! And have their computers taken away... This is what we are learning in Math class: If I draw a picture of a room, which one is bigger - the actual room or the picture? And in Science: What does the heart do? What does the blood do in your body? I know! It will go into my brain and start eating my eyes!
I mean, Teachers are supposed to be SMART for pete's sake!
BM = Bat-Mitzvah
That;s is what's new! What a wonderful day!

Bat Mitzvah Invitations!
Yes, yes, yes, it's true!!!!!!!!! I know!!!! It is SOOOOOOOOOo exciting! Those in Israel should get it today or tomorrow and those in the rest of the universe - later this week. OK, so lets go to news:
1. You might be asking me what's new with the chess. So, what I could say is that I have gotten better, but I am still so bad, that in a game that I played with my friend we both ended up with only a king in each side. Talk about embarrassing!
2. I ran 10 minutes this morning with my trainer!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhh! It was with 2 uphills AND it was a 1.30 kilometers. Which is 0.8 miles, if your wondering.
3. It is sooooooooooooooooo hot, and it's only May!!!!!!
4. I am counting down the days to the upcoming events!
5. I just learned a new word: Splendiferous! It is an awesome word!
6. As you know or as you don't know, I read the Harry Potter series out loud to Yosef. So, in short we are proud to say that we finished the 3rd Harry Potter book and we started the 4th!
7. School is a huge disappointment.... You want to hear a conversation between me, my best friend and my science teacher? (Shira's my best friend)(everything is supposed to be in Hebrew):
Teacher: What school are you going to next year?
Me and Shira: Chorev in Jerusalem
Teacher: Wow! Uch, that means we really need to get going with the work because Chorev has high standards...
(Me and Shira nod)
Teacher: Did you learn about the body (Biology)?
Me and Shira: No....
Teacher: Wait a second, your saying that you didn't learn anything in 4th and 5th grade about the body?
Shira: We learned about the teeth.... With a different teacher...
Me: Yea, it was in 2nd grade. (stiffening a laugh)
Teacher: Oy, Oy, Oy... As you know, it's not my fault, you should have learned it, and we have 10 more weeks of school and we need to finish the subject about light and sound AND do Biology.... Oy, Oy, Oy....
Me: So what are we going to do?
Teacher: Well, I guess I will need to teach you something... We'll start next week Monday...
Monday:
Teacher to class: Where is the Brain? Where is the Heart? What do the Muscles do? How many fingers do we have?
Next week:
Teacher to Class: How do you draw a body? What does the heart do? Give me examples of how almost all of the parts work together...
End!
Seriously..... That was how it was? We could seriously be learning something more interesting and harder!!!!!!

I'm sick............
Yes, that is true, unfortunately, but fortunately I have to tell you about a couple of cool stuff. First things first, I learned how to play Chess. You might ask my why, so there is a couple of answers. First of all, Abba brought a set from America, so I decided there is a chance. Also, I was fed up that Abba would always play with Yosef and I wanted him to play with me. If you want to know what I thing about it - I think it's a great game but WAY TO S........L...........O...........W......... I've played 2 games, which I lost in both, but taking a lot of the opponents pieces with me. I am pretty proud of myself, though I don't know if I want to continue.
Another AWESOME game is called Bananagrams, and it is sort of like scrabble but faster and better. You get 21 tiles, and you have to set them up like in scrabble, but you don't take turns and you can take stuff apart. If you finished all of the tiles - you won, in short. Mommy LOVES this game. So do I.
Bye!
Hugs and Kisses!

Miracles / Walt Whitman
OK, you would think that is a poem, and you happen to be right. This is the whole story: in English class we read the poem Miracles / Walt Whitman which I think is beautiful. Than, my teacher said that we need to write our own "Miracles" poem with the first two lines, plus the last line. So here is Walt Whitman's poem:
Why! who makes much of a miracle?
As to me, I know of nothing else but miracles,
Whether I walk the streets of Manhattan,
Or dart my sight over the roofs of houses toward the sky,
Or wade with naked feet along the beach, just in the edge of the
water,
Or stand under trees in the woods,
Or talk by day with any one I love,
Or sit at table at dinner with my mother,
Or look at strangers opposite me riding in the car,
Or watch honey-bees busy around the hive, of a summer forenoon,
Or animals feeding in the fields,
Or birds--or the wonderfulness of insects in the air,
Or the wonderfulness of the sun-down--or of stars shining so quiet
and bright,
Or the exquisite, delicate, thin curve of the new moon in spring;
Or whether I go among those I like best, and that like me best--
mechanics, boatmen, farmers,
Or among the savans--or to the soiree--or to the opera,
Or stand a long while looking at the movements of machinery,
Or behold children at their sports,
Or the admirable sight of the perfect old man, or the perfect old
woman,
Or the sick in hospitals, or the dead carried to burial,
Or my own eyes and figure in the glass;
These, with the rest, one and all, are to me miracles,
The whole referring--yet each distinct, and in its place.
To me, every hour of the light and dark is a miracle,
Every cubic inch of space is a miracle,
Every square yard of the surface of the earth is spread with the
same,
Every foot of the interior swarms with the same;
Every spear of grass--the frames, limbs, organs, of men and women,
and all that concerns them,
All these to me are unspeakably perfect miracles.
To me the sea is a continual miracle;
The fishes that swim--the rocks--the motion of the waves--the ships,
with men in them,
What stranger miracles are there?
This is mine:
Why! who makes much of a miracle?
As to me I know nothing of miracles.
To see the beach and the sand and the waves,
Or the book and the words,
Or to see feet running.
To laugh at jokes that the others make,
Or flour and water form some bread,
Or mother-daughter love,
Or to make music from the piano.
Or hike the mountains of the world,
Or learn the astronomy of this galaxy.
Or to see people healthier than I,
To feel hatred or love -
For those are miracles.
What stranger miracles are there?
What do you think?

OK, so the question is - if you get to travel in any place in the world ans see - where would it be and why? Either comment or email me. Thanks!

Happy Pesach!
Hya everyone!
How are you? So a couple of news flashes -
1. Mommy is sick.......... And I had to turn over the kitchen for Pesach with Abba... Now I am relaxing but she is still sick...
2. The Seder was AWESOME!!! I really loved it, especially the BEST charoset in the world that I made! I will make an effort that next year before Pesach I will post it. Also, like always I was the only one left with Abba when we finished, and that was at 11:00pm. I really hoped we would finish at 1 or something like that.
3. Sara has expanded her vocabulary and she was SO cute! She even said a 5 word sentence, thanks to Philadelphia Chickens and Rhinoceros Tap... (Whoever understands can understand).
4. I have to comment about the comment Grandma Judy gave me about the last post. So Grandma - that is true, but most of them are. And also, all the politicians don't act like themselves, they act like what they're crowds want to.
5. Very interesting - I read an article that is about a boy in Israel, and he saved his money from his Bar-Mitzvah and also by selling stuff by ebay and from that, he bought a little apartment that he renovated. After that, he rented out the apartment and that way he is making like BIG money. He also did an online course about that. That got me thinking. For Bat-Mitzvahs, you usually get Money, Jewelry and Sefarim. I am not sure how much money I get, but I talked with Mommy and Abba about it and I have decided that I am going to invest it. I am also making a business, and I will give you more information later. Anyway, have a great Pesach!!!!!!!!

Nice Quotes
So, funny enough, there are quotes in my Sudoku book that I got in the Airport in England. Here is a couple that I liked:
"Continuous effort, not strength or intelligence, is the key of unlocking your potential" - Liane Cardes.
"A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men" - Roald Dahl
"[Mathematics] is an independent world created out of pure intelligence" - William Wordsworth
"A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool" - William Shakespeare.
Another one that I like - "Every politician it a human in disguise" - Matisyahu song

Books, Movies, Comparisons - HOMEWORK!
But, as I might ad, homework I WANT to do and share with you. So this is my second day of vacation because I am sick, and lately my brother got our family watching the Star Wars movies on youtube. YES! They have them! Mommy and I were talking about that we have not seen the third one where Annikin goes bad. Anyway, we saw it about half an hour ago, and then we started comparing it to Harry Potter! So, if you want to hear it, you can read on, because I am (almost) sure you like either one of the them or both.
1. Luke and Harry are both orphans. What you see from both of them are that they are NOT SCARED, even though they are very very close to their enemy. After all, their enemy killed their parents. You might say that is not true since Darth Vader IS Luke's father, and he didn't kill his mother. If you see Star Wars 6, Obi-Wan-Kenobi tells Luke that Darth Vader betrayed and murdered his father which is true, and with his anger, and with all of his 'trying to save Padme' was actually killing her.
2. Both teachers, Dumbledore and Obi-Wan-Kenobi saw there was a lot of bad in them and tried to keep them away, but failed. After that, they were secretive about it to the next generation (Harry and Luke) and tried to make it right for them. When Luke and Harry find out a little bit and are confused their teachers tell them seeing they can't hide it.
3. Both Annikin and Tom showed significant powers (Annikin - off the scale. Tom - magic powers) and they both were second class people being slaves and orphans.
That was what we talked about, and I am sure there is much more but I wanted to share this with you.
Now, I send this blog to about 15 - 20 people. I want to know how many people actually read it, so if you read this when your done, please press one of the reactions or comment. Thanks!
Also, there is a hole on Star Wars! They made a mistake and I am starter than them! If anyone has an answer, you could tell me. How does Darth Vader know he has a son, because he never no one ever tells him. You could say that he could feel him in the 'force' or his last name was Skywalker! Interesting, huh?
Need to go!
Bye!

If you were able to cure a sickness what would it be?
Well, I can't exactly answer that because I would want to say Cancer, but then I would want to say the Common Cold and then I would think of the Chicken Pox. Seriously. What do chicken pox do to you! At least if you have a cold you get to enjoy the little bot of vacation. Chicken Pox are itchy and annoying and painful. Nothing good about it. Well, actually, Ferri has them again. A bad case. Its just that if you have it under the age of 2 you get it again and it is worse, and when she had it, it was very borer-line...
Also, I went running this morning for the 3rd time, and it was the best workout I had EVER had. I am serious. I also went to work with Abba today and that was very fun...
OK, I need to go! Bye!

If you have a secret power - what would it be?
Well, if you shared it with someone it won't be secret anymore but whatever. My (un)secret power would be to be able to make something out of nothing. Meaning, if I forget my lunch, I would be able to make my lunch again in less than a second. If I forget my bus card, I would get it. But, I would only be able to use it for a worthy cause, unlike when I would remember that I wanted a candy, but I didn't forget it. Do you understand or does make any sense? Another thing thta I am proud to say is...... (drum-roll please).... I am going to learn how to run! Not that I don't know how to run but I am going to have a personal trainer training me for a 5k run!! Last time I probably ran 1k in the 5k race but I want to do it all, and since Abba can't help me because he doesn't have time, I am going to have a personal trainer! YEAH! I am so excited! We are going to start Monday morning (tomorrow) at 6:30am! YAY!
Happy Purim!
Love you!

Ahhhhhh, England......
England, England, England....... What can I say? So much has happened!!! I missed you guys so much, and kept thinking of all of you! I was going to send you postcards, and I got them, but I have not sent them yet... So here is what happened (I will start from the night before):
Sunday night: I went to Emmi Polansky's Bat Mitzvah, sad I needed to go early, but excited that the next morning I would be in a different continent. at 8:30pm precisely, I left with Mommy to go to Modi'in - the city Esti now lives in. Coming there with a backpack and a medium sized suitcase, I was soooooo excited. I tried to go to bed, but that didn't really work since I couldn't fall asleep. I would go to the Bathroom, Read and just lie down till I actually fell asleep. I could tell you I fell asleep pretty late...
Monday: Woke up 5:00am in the morning, and left at 5:40. On the plane by 9:00am, went through the Ocean and got there. It was amazing. It was snowing. It was 0 degrees out. It was amazing. That was what it was. Well, actually, a bit more - so this is it: Esti's grandfather, Her mom - Naomi's father picked us up at the airport and drove us to Center Parcs (yes - they spell it that way). There, we picked up our bikes and got to our Cabin. It was SO cool! It had 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 4 TV's, 1 fireplace, 1 little kitchenete and 4 walls. It did have more but it wasn't so glamorous. We had to ride our bikes everywhere so I am proud to say that I am getting quite good at biking. And by the way, this whole time, it was snowing softly. We went to the little supermarket and picked up some odds and ends plus a couple of movies. That night we watched the movie 'Wild Girl' (OK movie, not in the top 3 out of the 5 movies we watched that week)and went to bed.
Tuesday: Woke up, watched a little TV with Esti, had breakfast, got dressed and davened. After that we went to the pools. IT WAS AWESOME!! It had a couple of parts - there was a main pool which was very big, and had huge waves coming every 15 minutes. Other than that it had a pool that part of it was outdoors (the rest was indoors) and the water is really warm so, if the water came to my shoulders and the water is very warm, you would think I wouldn't be cold. BUT it is snowing outside and it is freezing. It was so cool! From the outdoor pool, there was a ride (other than all the other cool water rides) called the Floom. It was AWESOME! After we showered got dressed and dried ourselves, we biked to a place where we did Laser Gun Shooting, where you would get one of these huge guns that I could barely pick up and they would shoot up these clay stuff that you need to shoot, the more you shoot the more points you get. Lets just say me and Esti did the worst since we could barely hold up the gun. After that we did Bowling, I got my Swatch and we had hot Chocolate. Oh yea, I forgot, we saw a movie. This time called 'Are we there yet' - and it was so funny I almost cried (that is totally in the best 3 out of 5 movies). Then I went to sleep.
Wednesday: All the morning stuff like the day before, except that we didn't have time to watch TV because we had to rush to the Quad Biking. Now, you might thing that is a really weird thing but it is motorcycle with 4 wheels instead of 2, and you go around splashing in mud. That was AWESOME! We went home, watched TV, went to the pools, maybe watched a movie - I don't remember - I'll tell you about them in the end and went to bed. Oh, also somewhere in the day we rowed a boat across the lake.
Thursday: The whole routine, and we did get to watch a little TV and did paintball. Now THAT WAS PAINFUL!!!!! I still have the marks on my legs, and trust me it is NOT a pretty sight. The first game someone shot me from close up - and I can tell you it KILLS! Esti also got hurt so we decided to stay put behind this fort and just shut. After a while we found that it wasn't shooting, because it was so heavy we weren't holding it right. I am not going to say that was the funnest thing, but it was plenty fun. Watched a movie, went to bed. Oh, right - we went to the pools again.
Friday: The whole movie routine just that again we didn't watch TV. We needed to drop of our bikes because we were leaving the afternoon. On the way we bought some duck feed and we fed the ducks. After that we had to talk 100000000 kilometers to get to Esti's grandfather. We drove back, did a little shopping at this mall called Broadwalk. We lit candles for Shabbos, and we ate and went to bed. By the way, we stayed at Esti's grandparents.
Shabbos: We woke up, relaxed and went to Shul - did you know they had a choir?? It was so weird! It was also the first time I was at a Shul out of Israel! We ate, had the AMAZING sweet and sour chicken and played some Texas Ho'ldem. After that I was pretty bored... After Shabbos ended, we went to see Esti's grandmother from the other side, and then we went to see AVATAR!!!! It was great! I loved it, except for the fact that I was scared I wouldn't be able to fall asleep that night. But I did.
Sunday: Went touring London, went on the tube, river and saw STOMP - that was AMAZING too!!! I LOVE IT!!! There are some pictures from London that I sent you.
MOnday: Whole morning routine, except that instead of watching TV we watched another movie. We went to the Luton London airport, went some shopping, got Ben and Jerry's Ice cream, left, and the rest is history.
Here are the notes: The most it snowed was an inch or so every day, which was pretty aggravating. Also, the other movies were RV (love it!) and Confessions of a Shopalic (ahhhh??)
Got to go!! Bye!

Got to go!! Bye!

Next stop, the old country
Now, that sounds really weird, but I read that in a book - when a girl is taking a school trip to England and her teacher says it when they are on the plane to England. I guess that tells you everything - YES - I AM GOING TO ENGLAND!! If you want to know the story, here it is: My 1 out of 2 BFF - Esti, for her Bat-Mitzvah present from her parents are that she can choose a friend, and together with her friend and her mom they would go to England. It sounds like one of those wacky fantasies - but it's true! I am going this coming Monday for a week and a day. I am so excited! If everyone is wondering what we are doing - so, we I am going to arrive in her house Sunday night, since we would have to leave early the next morning. We will arrive early afternoon in England, and we are going to tour London (YAY!!) - I am SOOOOOOOO taking me camera and 1,000,000,028 AA batteries. After that, that night or something like that - we are going to go to this resort called 'Center Parks' which has 4 parts. We are going to stay there and do all this cool stuff! For Shabbos we are going to stay at Esti's grandparents. On Saturday night, we are supposed to see something great. Also, it is going to be SO SO SO SO cold - so I am supposed to bring gloves, hats, and scarfs - wow!
Well, about rain, it is going great in Israel, it was pouring when I was waiting for the bus!!
Abba - I miss you! I also miss everyone else!
Last thing - if you want to know more at Elveden in Center Parks where we are staying at - here is a link -

Hippies
That is the word my friends are into! There is always SOMETHING that my friends are into. One time it's the song 'Party in the U.S.A' (UGH!!!!), another time it's the singer 'Demi Lovato' (DOUBLE UGH!!!!) and a different time it's about the Apple Ipod. So it all started when my BFF (my best-friend-forever) saw me gluing a piece of paper where I wrote the word Peace nicely, and called me a Hippie (as a joke). Then, while my class was in English Period, she told my friends about it. So I asked them why they were calling me a hippie. They said because I wanted Peace. Seriously. I asked them if THEY wanted peace in the world, smacking it hard back on their faces. I just thought that was just HILARIOUS! Well, to tell you the truth, I don't know how much of them ACTUALLY know what a hippie is. Peace.
Now I have a question for you all and answer - either comment or send me an email - WHAT is the REAL point of going on Pointe shoes?
Peace!
Adina

Chorev
I have some great news!!!!!!!!!! - I GOT INTO CHOREV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which means I am going to the 3rd best school in all of Israel!! You know, just to think of that, sounds extremely cool!!! So here is what's new:
1. Ferri is learning about Vivaldi in Gan - isn't that just adorable?? She is learning it in this music program. Imagine it. The world would be a MUCH MUCH better place if kids were learning about Classical Music at 5 years old... Look, I admit, I didn't know about Vivaldi till I was 7 or 8 years old, when I went to a Ballet/Modern show with the music of the 4 seasons.
2. I am going to ENGLAND in 26 days!!! This is TO TO TO TO awesome! Imagine this: A cute 11 and a half girl with her best-friend and the best-friends mom touring London! How awesome is that??? I am, I have to admit, a little bit nervous. I first got scared that I will need a Visa to get in (which I don't), and then I got freaked out that of all these stuff. BUT, other then that I am SO SO SO SO SO SO excited! I am also a nervous that I'll get all shy, and I won't FIT IN with my best's friends mom. But you know what, I am not that nervous about that anymore. First things first, she lets me call her by her first name, and who knows how many hours I was at their house. It is also cool that I will set foot on 3 CONTINENTS this year!!! and also the coolest ones (sort of) - North America, Europe and Asia. Isn't that groovy? 3. Yosef is reading 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' in Hebrew. He is SO into it! You know how I know it? He walks around sometimes reading it - and you know what? I wanted to call Obama or whoever and make it a National Holiday, or give 'Diary of a Wimpy kid' a medal or something... Not that him reading is something bad.
4. Have you heard of the magazine YALDAH? Well, it is a magazine made BY Jewish girls and read BY Jewish Girls, and every year girls send out applications to be on their Eitorial Board. I did!!! And I didn't get in... It was so sad... I had all my hopes up, and all they did was bring them down. JUST JOKING! I mean, I was disappointed...
Love,
Adina
