I have some great news!!!!!!!!!! - I GOT INTO CHOREV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which means I am going to the 3rd best school in all of Israel!! You know, just to think of that, sounds extremely cool!!! So here is what's new:
1. Ferri is learning about Vivaldi in Gan - isn't that just adorable?? She is learning it in this music program. Imagine it. The world would be a MUCH MUCH better place if kids were learning about Classical Music at 5 years old... Look, I admit, I didn't know about Vivaldi till I was 7 or 8 years old, when I went to a Ballet/Modern show with the music of the 4 seasons.
2. I am going to ENGLAND in 26 days!!! This is TO TO TO TO awesome! Imagine this: A cute 11 and a half girl with her best-friend and the best-friends mom touring London! How awesome is that??? I am, I have to admit, a little bit nervous. I first got scared that I will need a Visa to get in (which I don't), and then I got freaked out that of all these stuff. BUT, other then that I am SO SO SO SO SO SO excited! I am also a nervous that I'll get all shy, and I won't FIT IN with my best's friends mom. But you know what, I am not that nervous about that anymore. First things first, she lets me call her by her first name, and who knows how many hours I was at their house. It is also cool that I will set foot on 3 CONTINENTS this year!!! and also the coolest ones (sort of) - North America, Europe and Asia. Isn't that groovy? 3. Yosef is reading 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' in Hebrew. He is SO into it! You know how I know it? He walks around sometimes reading it - and you know what? I wanted to call Obama or whoever and make it a National Holiday, or give 'Diary of a Wimpy kid' a medal or something... Not that him reading is something bad.
4. Have you heard of the magazine YALDAH? Well, it is a magazine made BY Jewish girls and read BY Jewish Girls, and every year girls send out applications to be on their Eitorial Board. I did!!! And I didn't get in... It was so sad... I had all my hopes up, and all they did was bring them down. JUST JOKING! I mean, I was disappointed...

Adina

AWESOME news!
So... This morning I had to do a couple of errands - send a letter, get milk for mommy, buy headphones and get passport pictures for my test tomorrow for the Junior High - 'Chorev'. Yosha-bear decided he would come with me, and change in a check that he got for Hanukkah. So after getting everything. Me and Yosha-bear walked home. Of course I wanted to check the mailbox to see if we got anything. We got a lot of stuff! Haaretz newspaper, 'Zarkor' and 'Otiot' magazine (for me and Yosha-bear), a thank you note from my best friend for the present I made her for her Bat-Mitzvah about two months ago, some kind of advertisment and......... A letter from my second chopice middle school I want to go to. I was scared. Freaked. Excited. I went upstairs, dropped all my stuff on the floor except of the letter, and I started opening it (Oh, whatever - I'll get to the point) - anyway - I GOT IN TO ULKPENAT SHALAVIM MY 2ND CHOICE SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To add to the good news - We got a hall and a date for my Bat-Mitzvah! The official date is: Tuesday, 1 June, 2010!! And the hall is in Ramat-Beit-Shemesh and it is called Beis Teffilah - it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
COMMENT PLEASE! SEND ME WHAT YOU THINK! PLEASE!

7th day of Chanukah!
Hey!
I am finally finding out that everyone is reading my blog but they don't comment or something like that. Yesterday Gramps, Nana, Yosha-bear and I went to 'Ir David' (The city of David) in the Old city in Jerusalem. I had SO SO SO much fun there! I told mommy all about it, and Be'ezrat Hashem, that will be one of the hikes around my Bat-Mitzvah (day before, day after).
Last night we had a party with Mommy's cousins in Jerusalem - Chana Chassia, Gedalia, Yaakov, Nechama, Yonatan, Gabbie (my NEW NEW cousin - Mazel Tov!), Chezky, Malka, Yehuda and Gedalia's cousin - Arlene. We played dreidel, where I didn't do to well, but on the final round where the all the chocolates and the peanuts were in, I got a Gimmel, so I won.
I know this is short, but I want to start writing more often, because I love it so much. I will never have nothing to write about so-
Bye!

Chanukah, Chanukah
Hi!
I am great, thanks for asking. If you happen to be bored, sitting on the couch with you computer on you (like me) this is for you, or if you are not in any of those positions, this is for you to!
Chanukah has been going REALLY great! Thanks Grandma Bette, Grandpa Paul, Grandma Judy, Grandpa Saul, Mommy, Abba and Grandma Bev, who gave me presents already. This morning Mommy had to go to work, so I needed to watch Ferri. Well, it WAS a paid baby-sitting job, but I didn't really have a choice. We took a bus to the shopping center, and had bagels/pizza/ice cream/chocolate milk/juice. After that we did sticker shopping for Ferri, which has the coolest Sticker Album around. Other then that we got a treat for Yosef, batteries, and matching headband for both of us. We also have quite a plan for this week: Tomorrow morning Monday - a couple of my friends and I will read Shakespear's play - Macbeth. Tuesday night - Naomi Adler's concert!!! Oh yeah!!!!!!! Wednesday - dinner B"H with the Shofnoss. Thursday - Chanukah Party at Ruth and Shuli's Shuli's!!!! On Friday I am going to take the 'Mivchan Knisa' - Entrance Exam at my first choice school - Chorev for Middle School/Junior High School!!!!! For anyone who is interested to know about 'Chorev' - First - it is the top 3rd school in the country!!!! Second - uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh, ask Mommy and Abba!!!!
Other then all of the bad news about school this year - I have some GOOD news!! I have an enrichment class in Science!! YAY!!!!!!!!! You don't understand - I have been SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO bored in school, it is freaky!!!!!! Isn't it groovy???!!! It's so radical that I am talking 70s again!!! It is like sooooooo Far Out!!!!! LOLOLOLOL!!!
OK, and now folks, it is 2:09pm and we are moving on to the MUSIC section (music in backround)!!! And thank you Adina Hershberg for letting me interview you! So, what artists are you into right now??
Adina: Thank YOU, for letting me into this show! So, as a preen, all of my friends are into Camp Rock, Justin Beiber, Hannah Montana and pop stars around the world. I, for one, like Natasha Bedingfield, Matisyahu, Jason Mraz, Taj Mahal, Alvin and the chipmunks, Gad Elbaz, Udi Davidi, Naomi Adler and Tchaikovsky.
Adina: Oh WOW! Now what song is your favorite? Well, One Day by Matisyahu - and Rochot Tovot of Udi Davidi - .
Thanks Adina Hershberg (Lots if clapping)!!!
OK, got to get of... gtg! bb! ttyl!
Love,
Adina

Ballet, Shoes, Pointe Shoes, Barre, Classical Music and all that
So as you can see I am going to talk about Ballet. Now don't you get worried that I will bore you to tears how the 'Royal Ballet' did the 'Romeo and Juliet' or about this amazing Documentary about the 'Kirov School' of ballet where Nureyev, Baryshnikov, Nijinsky, Pavlova, and Balanchine learned (actually, the documentary is truly amazing but then I wish that I could go there). The special news is that: I am taking POINTE CLASS AND I HAVE POINTE SHOES AND I STOOD ON THEM AND THE NEXT TIME I SEE YOU I'LL DANCE IN THEM IN FRONT OF YOU AND FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi 2 months later!!
Hi Friends!!
Now, when I wanted to tell you all about my trip to America, but I never got to it... So now, we are going to move on: so in any normal email they would ask me how am I doing and I would write "great" and go on in till the end of the century about what is going on. SO, I am great and here is whats going: Yosef joined the world of great yet dangerous world of internet, and gets more emails that I get in one day - so people - how come I forgot your name? Grandma Judy and Grandpa Saul are here and we are having tons of fun!! They brought me (the one I paid and ordered)an 8gb ipod nano with video AND video camera, here is the link if you don't believe me (the ipod with video camera is like a week old): http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_ipod/family/ipod_nano?mco=MTAyNTQwMTM. Awesome - isn't it?? We also got a tiny little bright pink netbook to replace our mac laptop, which I am using right now!! The only annoying part of it is that you can't put in CDs or DVDs so I have to use Abba's computer to put on music. Speaking of music I already have 220 songs on my ipod including 2 CDs that Grandma and Grandpa brought. One is the new Matisyahu CD - Light. Here is one of the songs that I love that is called "One Day": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z50Yf7hFnhA. I also got a Jason Mraz CD called: "We sing, we dance, we steal things" with the song I love "I'm Yours". Got to go on a hike. Bye!

I am going back to Israel tomorrow night!
Last post I was REALLY REALLY excited that I was going to America, I have had a great time but now I am ready to go home... I will tell you what happens either by the posts (if I get up to it) or by phone/e-mail.
I really miss my parents and my family, but I am having and had SO SO much fun.
Right now I am in New-York (the state), at Nicki and Jason Nevarez's house (Mommy's cousins) with three-year-old Ethan which is absolutely A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E. Nicki's Sister Joanna and her boyfriend are here. Also Nicki's mom Sue, and her husband John, and Nicki's father Doug are here inthe house. If were up to this, we also have the Nevarez's dog - Marti (the very big one), and Joanna's dog - Lola (the very medium one).
Th flights have been really good, and I have had tons of fun with everyone, which is what I really came for.

For those that are in Israel - I will really miss you, and Good-by!!!
For those in America - I will really see you and Good-Hi!!!
For those in any other part of the universe - you have nothing to do with this!!!
It is now 6:47!! I am going to America (clap)! I am going to America (clap)! I am going to America (clap)!

Only 2 days in till I go 2 America!!!
Yes, friends, I am going to America in 2 days (Well, if you are reading it on July 16,2009, that is)!!!! I am SO SO SO excited! I am leaving on July 19 and coming back on August 7. If you guys want to keep in touch, either e-mail me or call my on my American Cell phone (YES!!!!! I actually have a cell phone in till August 7!!!!!!!): 0141-301-448-9974 (but without the 0141 if you are in America). I would rather phone calls in the evening!!! So, anyway, if you want to prove to me that you really care about me, either call or e-mail (or skype) and I will believe you that you really care about me. I am so happy that I have a cell phone that I already know the cellphone by heart (but, unfortunately, not the number). If you are a relative that I will see the next three weeks, and that you want me to call you on the plane after I land/not call you at all/call before I leave, send me an e-mail at adinamenina@gmail.com.
The other good news is that tomorrow is my LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I was scared I wouldn't be able survive 5th grade (really, I am not joking).
Well, whatever you do COMMENT please!!!!
For those in America - I hope to see you soon!!!
For those in Israel - I will miss you so much!!!

Tomorrow is SUPPOOSED to be my last day of school!
I am not joking. But, of course, my school is cruel and are keeping me in jail for 3 more weeks. Well, I am lucky. I miss 5 days of 19 days because of my trip.
Yesterday was my last dance class till September, and I was very sad. But there is good news: I asked my teacher when I can go on point, and she said that maybe next year I am going to go on POINT!!!!!!!! I am so excited! So, I am going to work extra extra hard.
Abba and Mommy explained to me about Michael Jackson, since I heard about his death. I saw pictures of him, and I tell you, I am SO SO grossed out! Abba showed me 'motown' (and I agree with Abba, is a terrible song) where he made up the moonwalk. Then Abba showed my on youtube 'Bad' and got reminded of "Weird Al" Yankovic and showed "Fat" and "Eat it" and then (has nothing to do with Michael Jackson) "Smells like Nirvana" and I could not stop laughing, it was SO SO funny. Always when I think about it I crack up!
Also, I went with Mommy to Jarusalem today and went to a used bookstore, fabric store, "Misadat Chen" (restaurant) and Ben Yehuda. At the used bookstore I got book (duh, I got blankets), at the fabric store I got fabric for myself for a skirt I am about to sew (you might see it on the trip), and got 2 of my friends birthday presents.

Summer is in the AIr
Does everybody know the terrible news in my school that has been going on for now 4 years? You can ask for Adina Hershberg if you are interested in the answer. Well, whether you want to know or you don't, I will tell you. I have an EXTRA and I mean EXTRA month of school. How would you feel that your suffering pressure, homework, tests AND everyone else outside playing around without school? Well, I am glad you didn't. But I am a witness that has had it for 4 years. To look on the bright side (which there isn't a lot of) I am going to leave a week early before school ends! And you know where I am going - America sweet America! You know I am going to see (now, now, don't just think about yourself) - Grandma Bette grandpa paul grandma judi grandpa saul aunt linda uncle michael grandma bev aunt dara nicki jason ethan (imagine I am sayng this all in one breath) all smashed up in the blender for three weeks (eewwwwwwwwwww) and I will be coming into the bender to see them! OK, I can't continue, after all I just ate! You know what I had? Rice, stir-fried hot dog, and salad!
OK, OK, OK, how in the world did I get from complaining about the extra month of school to what I had for dinner 7 minutes ago. Really good question. I mystery that will never be solved... Sigh. OK, I am getting now into writers mode. Oh no! I am going out of controlllllll!
I sat by the windowsill waiting for her, but little did I know, that I will never hug her again. Suddenly, there was a figure coming, getting bigger and bigger, but hard to see because of the hard rain. I ran to the door hoping it would be her, but instead I saw my father, soaking and dripping from the harsh rain. "Papa" I called in delight seeing that at least he was safe. "My little angel" he whispered. "I have bad news -" my eyes dropped, I was not wishing to hear it, but I kept quiet, papa looked at me in concern and continued "-Mama, will not come back.". "Why?" I asked as if I did not know the answer. Papa didn't answer, but slowly sat down on the couch. Suddenly he seemed like a really sad person, like half of his life was taken away from him. Suddenly, I got really scared.
Wow! I just made that up on the spot did you like it? Should I continue? Let me know!

Math Test!
Well, you know this year has been very hard for me from all of my pressure, and I was not getting 100s all in a row, so I'd like to celebrate my math test in geometry (which I hate) for getting an 100. Yay!!!

Story I wrote for english.
This is the beginning of the story, and if your intrested I could send you a link for the rest:
Caught up in Secrets by Adina Hershberg
----------------------------------------
"Now girls, bring your assignments up to my desk" said Mrs. Levine. Mrs. Levine is my english Teacher in 6th grade. She loves surprising my class. It can be really annoying. Correction. It is really annoying. "Now girls, when your done giving the assignments to me you can go back to your reading.
I sighed, OK. Enough about Mrs. Levine, more about me. I am Gavriella Rosenberg, everyone calls me Gab. I live in Beit-Shemesh in Rechov Hatzipor 14. I am eleven years old desperately wanting to be twelve, and I also really want a baby sister. I have three little brothers and no sisters. The second to oldest (if you can't tell yet, I am the oldest kid in my family) is Tzvi who is 8 years old. He is spoiled (well, that is what I think) and is really into jokes and planes. My other brothers are twins - Eitan and Noam - that are 6 and in 1st grade. I sort of go to admit that they are cute. EVERYONE thinks thy are adorable. Don't get me wrong - I still love my siblings, but in a way of brothers and sisters. But I guess you know what I mean.
I am born to dance, sing and act, but not school. School, I guess, is OK. I don't read fast by myself and I don't like the quiet in it. I do like Torah, Navi, and math. Correction. I love math the subject, but not the teacher and the class. The teacher can not

control the class and the class is just to easy! Sigh, I got to get back to my reading...
I am reading a book called The Report Card by Andrew Clements. I usually don't judge books I read, but I have to say that it is a really good book.
"Now girls, your homework is question 32-40 in the papers I gave you". I sighed for the second time. I opened my yoman and wrote the homework in the bottom of the page - not because I wanted to but because it was full of homework I need to do today. I heard the bell - BRRRRRINNG "Now girls" Mrs.Levine said. "you can leave." Have you realised that she always says 'now girls'?
"So, what a class!" That was Dvora. Here is a fact: she is my best friend. Here is another fact: she has 4 brothers and 3 sisters, and her mother is expecting! Dvora is extremely smart. Sometimes, its hard to have a friend that LOVES reading. It makes me feel dumb, but she is trying to convince me that if I tried a little bit more than I do now about books, I would also love reading. But believe me, I've tried many times.
"What day is it today?" I asked to no one in particular. "Monday, January 25, 2009" - Dvora answered. How in the world does she know these stuff?
My birthday is on March 15, which is when I going to turn into Bat-Mitzvah. I am learning the Chameshet Megillot with my Dad. "Dad and I are printing the invitations after I get home from school" I told Dvora. "Then I have Jazz and Hip-hop for two hours" I continued. "Also," I added, "It's pizza night!" As I was saying that we got on to our bus. Dvora took her MP3 out of her backpack, and gave me an earphone. She put on "Lecha" from Chevra, and we both sang quietly - "Lecha, Hashem hagdula, hashem hagdula vehagevura - " "You know Gab" Dvora said "you really DO have a beautiful voice." I said thanks and blushed...
When it was our stop, we got off the bus. "Goo' bye" I called. "Bye!!" Dvora yelled.
I got home, said hi to my siblings and Mom. I asked Mom, "Where is Dad?".
"Dad is at work in the end, honey" Mom answered. In case you don't know, my father works in computers, and my mother teaches twice a week at a Seminar for ba'ali tushva because she likes it there. "Oh..." I said disappointingly. "I guess I will do my homework now..." - In my family have a rule that you can not do anything fun such as going to friends to play with them or going to chugim.
I clutched my bag and took both of us to the kitchen table. I took out my yoman and sighed. I started working. When I was in the middle of figuring out a hard math problem, Tzvi ran into the kitchen, with a paper airplane and held it in a way that looked like it was flying.
"Ready for landing!" he said in a weird voice, and decided that the plane should land on my math book. My Grandmother is a pacifist, and she told me that whenever you ask nicely, you will get the way you want. I looked up from my notebook and said: "Tzvi - will you please move the airplane? - " I thought for a second and added "Isn't it a beautiful day outside? Right? So the plane should be outside like a real airplane." He was thinking - I could tell whenever he thinks because he scrunches up his forehead and looks very weird like that. He would never admit that someone else is right. After a small silence Tzvi said - "OK pilot, ready for take off!"
I kept on working, and finally at 5:30 I finished my homework. As I was closing my English notebook, Dad came walking in. "I'm home!" he called extra loud. "No you're not, you're Dad!" Noam called back (By the way - Noam loves jokes). I could tell that Dad did it on purpose, because he loves Noam's jokes.
